Title:
SAFETY PROTECTIVE APPARATUS FOR NUCLEAR POWER PLANT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2824027
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide safety protective apparatus for nuclear power stations wherein no harmful influence is exerted on a solenoid valve and the like even if alternating current passes through the solenoid valve and the like intermittently.
CONSTITUTION: A solenoid valve 60, a driven body, is driven by means of an a.c. power supply 50. A switching circuit 40 is placed between the a.c. power supply 50 and the solenoid valve 60. If a detection value from a plurality of sensors S1, SN for detecting the status of a nuclear power plant reaches a specified value, that is detected and a signal is output to the switching circuit 40, which is thereby opened. In addition a status detecting circuit 100 is connected which detects when the current from the a.c. power supply 50 to the solenoid valve 60 becomes unipolar. Thus the switching circuit 40 is opened according to signals from the status detecting circuit 100. This prevents harmful effect on the driven body even if the current passes through the solenoid valve 60 intermittently, for example, becomes unipolar.
