Title:
SAFETY SCANNER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017150858
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety scanner with which it is possible to reduce the radius of rotation of an optical rotor.SOLUTION: A safety scanner comprises: an optical rotor 30 that rotates around a rotation axis J and emits detection light from a light source 50 for light projection to a detection area, as well as causes the detection light to scan in the circumferential direction; a light-receiving element 53 for receiving reflected light from an object in the detection area via the optical rotor 30 and generating a light reception signal; entering object determination means for finding the distance to the object and a distance measurement position that corresponds to the scanning angle of the detection light on the basis of the light reception signal, and comparing it with a predefined protective area and determining the presence of an entering object. The light-receiving element 53 has a light-receiving plane perpendicular to the rotation axis J and is arranged on the rotation axis J. The optical rotor 30 has a light-receiving mirror 37 for reflecting the reflected light toward the light-receiving plane, the light-receiving mirror 37 being offset arranged on a side of the rotation axis J opposite to a detection light emission side, its angle of inclination being larger than 45°.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16
