To provide a sample chamber array which can reduce an amount of time and number of processes required for filling and thermal cycling of sample tray or microcard, and a method for processing biological samples.
This invented sample chamber array can include at least one reservoir liquid-communicating with at least one sample chamber, and a movable portion specifying the sample chamber. The reservoir can be filled up with liquid biological samples. The movable portion may be movable from the first position to the second position for remaining sample chamber. In the first position, this movable portion is depressed, and the sample chamber contains no biological sample. In the second position, this movable portion is protruded, and the sample chamber contains any biological sample. Movement of this movable portion to the second position will cause a reduction of pressure, resulting in relocation of the biological sample from at least one reservoir to the sample chamber.
