Title:
SANDWICH GLASS AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3839630
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a cost of sight glass by interposing a photosetting adhesive between wired sheet glass and transparent sheet glass, thereby forming sandwich glass.
SOLUTION: The sandwich glass 20 is the sight glass consisting of the wired sheet glass 21 of a rectangular shape and the photosetting adhesive (UV curing type adhesive) 26 interposed between the glass and the transparent sheet glass 24 smaller by one size than the same. Since the thickness of the transparent sheet glass 24 can be set approximately the same as the sheet thickness of the opening/closing door of a lifting machine, the transparent sheet glass 24 may be made flush with the opening/closing door simply by bringing the wired sheet glass 21 on the opening/closing door. The sandwich glass is preferably formed by horizontally placing the wired sheet glass 21, placing the liquid photosetting adhesive 26 on its center, then placing the transparent glass 24 thereon, thinly spreading the photosetting adhesive 26 by its own weight of the transparent sheet glass 24 and curing the adhesive by irradiating the adhesive with light from below or above. The process for producing the sandwich glass 20 and the mounting work thereof may be simplified and since there is no need for heating equipment and compressing equipment, the equipment cost may be reduced as well.
