To provide a scaffold for ladders applicable also to internally sliding telescoping ladders and requiring no adjustment of the looseness of bolts.
This footing A comprises a pair of vertical members 10 and scaffolding boards 11. The vertical members 10 are installed along the vertical sashes 3 of an upper ladder 1 at positions where they are not interfered with a lower ladder 2. The vertical member 10 is formed of an upper vertical member 10a and a lower vertical member 10b. Recesses 10d for accepting horizontal rails 4 are formed in the upper vertical member and bands 13 are fitted thereto. Recesses 10e for accepting horizontal rails 5 are formed in the lower vertical member and bands 14 are fitted thereto. The scaffolding boards 11 are disposed between the vertical members 10 and supported within the angular range between a stored attitude and a use attitude through hinges having rotating shafts 16 parallel to the horizontal rails 4 of the upper ladder 1. In the stored attitude, the scaffolding boards 11 are retreated to the positions where they are not interfered with the lower ladder 2. In the use attitude, when the upper ladder 1 and the lower ladder 2 are shortened, the scaffolding boards 11 are rotated to the storage attitude by the horizontal rails 7 of the lower ladder 2.
