Abstract:
PURPOSE:To simplify scale value reading action by providing a ruler body with an input control panel for inputting the scale value of specified intervals into a scale display part, thereby inputting the desired scale value by the input control panel to be displayed at a scale display part. CONSTITUTION:When a power switch 48 is turned on with a centimeter/ inch change-over switch 50 set to the centimeter side, the scale value of 1mm intervals is displayed at a scale display part 6. In a case of desiring the scale value of 9mm intervals, the '9' key 29 of an input control panel 8 is pressed first and a '*' key 32 is further pressed. Then '9*' is displayed at an input display part 52, and the scale values a1-a3... of 9mm intervals are displayed on the liquid crystal display part 6. At the time of line drawing work, a line is drawn along the scale values a1-a3, so as to read the intervals of 9mm without counting every 1mm. Scale value reading action is thereby simplified, wrong recognition is prevented, and line drawing work efficiency is improved.
