PURPOSE: To enable the center of an indicator to be matched to a reading point easily and brighten an area beneath a scope 17 forming am inclined surface on the top of a column consisting of a transparent body with an indicator for position matching provided on the end surface.
CONSTITUTION: A scope 10 consists of a column 18 of transparent acrylic resin, and an oblique surface 18a is formed on the top of the column 18. In addition, an indicator 36 consisting of a cross line is provided on a lower end surface 18b which is vertically relative with the center axial line of the column 18. The column 18 is engaged with a tubular holder 20 with a collar 20a in a freely rotatable manner through an appropriate friction force. Consequently, an image at a reading point below the column is condensed on a point obliquely above the column with an image of the indicator formed on the column due to the presence of the oblique surface. This condensed image can be viewed from a point obliquely above the column.
