Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve classifying accuracy and sifting efficiency and also to prevent deterioration of a subject material to be shifted by using a screen in which a mesh shape of a screening surface is rectangular and its ratio of short side to long side is within a fixed range at the time of screening a fine granular material.
SOLUTION: In the granular material being the subject material to be sifted, its material, shape, size, etc., are not restricted if the granular material can be screened with the screening surface whose mesh shape is rectangular, but the granular material having 25-1000 μm average grain size, especially 40-250 μm, is preferable. The granular material on the screen is moved by vibrating the screen, and the screening is executed by passing the granular material through the screening surface. As the shape of the screening surface to be used at this time, it is indispensable that the mesh shape be rectangular, and the screen having a ratio of short side to long side of 1:(1.5-5) is used. For example, the rectangular screening surface consisting of a mesh of a Ton-Cap (R) weave or a Ty-Rod (R) weave and a slit plate such as slit grill is used.
