The pre-stage device compresses the sufficiently stirred leaf molds and/or composts to a predetermined bulk density before filling into the bag or the like and then fills the compressed leaf molds or the like into the bag or the like. The compressing device is the screw feeder device, and has a horizontal type screw case and a conveying screw inside the screw case. The front part of the screw is engaged and fixed to the outer periphery of the blade of the screw, and pivoted by a ring turning integrally with the screw. The screw feeder device has a guide roller that supports the outer periphery of the ring and is pivoted turnably, and a nozzle of different diameter is disposed in the front of the screw case.
