To provide a machine for safely and highly efficiently producing coconut palm rope while raising feedstock yield.
The machine comprises two scribers 1 for coconut palm fiber and one rope strander 2, having the following mechanism: Each of the scribers 1 works as follows: A bunch of coconut palm fibers are conveyed through a feed conveyor 11 to a carding unit 12, where the palm fibers are pulled and torn off with a number of needles 121b and the directions of the fibers are arranged in parallel, the bending of the fibers are corrected with a scriber body 13 and the conveying amount of the fibers is controlled at low levels, and an appropriate amount of the fibers are entangled by a twisting means 14 around a core wire C into a strand S of a uniform and desired thickness. Subsequently, a plurality of these strands S are stranded up into the coconut palm rope R using the rope strander 2.
