PURPOSE: To obtain a scroll compressor which has a small variation of compression torque and few occurrences of noise and vibration by forming plural stripes of spiral projections of the same shape on each scroll at an equal pitch toward the circumferential direction.
CONSTITUTION: A driving scroll 1 and a driven scroll 2 have two stripes of spiral projections 1d, 2d of the same shape formed on their disk parts 1b, 2b and engaging with each other. And, both spiral projections 1d, 2d are so formed as to be symmetrical with the rotational centers O1, O2 as centers of symmetry, and arranged at an equal pitch in the circumferential direction. This results in the equilibrium of centrifugal force acting on the disk parts 1b, 2b as well as the increase of the frequency of suction strokes, thus decreasing the variation of compression torque, vibration and noise of a scroll compressor.
