Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve abrasion resistance by making a seal member, which is arranged at the lap end face of a scroll, of compound material which is formed by casting nickel foaming substance in aluminium alloy.
CONSTITUTION: A groove 16 is formed along a lap at a lap end part between a rotating scroll 5 and a fixed scroll 4. A seal member 17 is arranged in this groove 16. The seal member 17 is made of aluminium compound material which is formed by molding, through fusion casting method, aluminum alloy and nickel foaming substance. For this reason, abrasion resistance, heat resistance and dimension stability are improved and leakage loss can be prevented.
