Title:
SCROLLING FLUID MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002161877
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To improve durability and reliability against temperature changes or the like by stably fitting a core metal of a seal member to an end plate of a turning scroll with a coming-off preventing protrusion.

Respective compressed chambers 15 are defined between a stationary scroll 2 and the turning scroll 11, and sliding surfaces 2A, 11A of these chambers are sealed by a lip seal 25. The core metal 26 of the lip seal 25 is attached to the outer periphery of the end plate 12, and the coming-off prevention protrusion 28 protrudingly provided at the inner periphery of the core metal 26 is fitted into an annular recessed groove 13 provided at the outer periphery of the end plate 12. Thus, attachment condition of the lip seal 25 can be kept stable, even if the outer periphery of the end plate 12 is distorted by a difference the coefficients of thermal expansion between the core metal 26 and the end plate 12, for example. It is thus possible to improve sealability to improve high durability and reliability.
