Abstract:
To provide a scuffing test device and a scuffing test method, which can efficiently and quantitatively evaluate scuffing when using a latch needle.SOLUTION: A scuffing test device includes: a yarn feeding section 11 which feeds a yarn 30 in a prescribed direction; a test needle fixing section 14 which can fix a latch needle 31 to be a test object so as to be orthogonal to the yarn 30; and a sensor 25 which is arranged on a downstream side of the test needle fixing section 14 when viewed from a feeding direction of the yarn 30. Scuffing generated on a surface of the yarn 30 can be detected by passing the yarn 30 slid on the latch needle fixed to the test needle fixing section 14 through the sensor 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
