Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition and a sealant for a liquid crystal display panel, which are excellent in adhesiveness to a glass substrate and in heat-resistant adhesiveness.SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises an acryloyl group-containing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer saponification product (A), a radical polymerization type photoinitiator (B), and a silane coupling agent (C). The acryloyl group-containing ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer saponification product (A) includes an ethylene residue unit by 75.4 to 98.3 mol%, a vinyl acetate residue unit by 0.3 to 19.6 mol%, a vinyl alcohol residue unit by 0 to 24.2 mol%, and a residue unit having an acryloyl group by 0.1 to 20.0 mol%, the residue unit having an acryloyl group being expressed by general formula of -[CHCH(OCONHROCOC(R)=CH)]- (where Rrepresents hydrogen or a methyl group and Rrepresents a hydrocarbon group having 2 or more carbon atoms); and has an MFR of 5 to 40000 g/10 min measured in conformity to JISK6924-1.
