PURPOSE: To increase holding force of a weather strip by fitting a spherical section which is formed at the tip of a projection of a retainer in the hard section which is formed between the base and sealing section of weather strip when the weather strip is assembled.
CONSTITUTION: Flange parts 2c, 2d are mounted at both ends in forward and backward directions of center pillars 2a, 2b and fixed by means of welts 3a, 3b. A retainer 4 is fixed by a screw 5 on the M side outside of car of the center pillar 2a, and a claw part 4a is formed on the retainer. A projection 4b is pro vided from the center of retainer 4 toward the M side outside of car. In this case, a spherical section 4c which expands in the direction of outside of car is provided at the tip of the projection 4b. On the other hand, a weather strip 6 consists of a base 6a which is fitted to the claw part 4a, a sealing section 6b which expands from this on the M side outside of car, and a hollow section 7 which is formed between them. A hard section 20 to which the spherical section 4c can fit is formed over the base 6a and sealing section 6b.
