Abstract:
PURPOSE: To press seal rings on the inner circumferential surface of a cylinder evenly along the entire circumference thereof by providing a receiving surface on the inner circumferential surfaces of the seal rings being so inclined as to increase the inner diameter of the rings toward a contact part between both seal rings to be piled one upon the other while receiving an energizing force of a backup ring.
CONSTITUTION: A receiving surface 22 is arranged on the inner circumferential surfaces of seal rings being so inclined as to increase the inner diameter of rings toward a contact part between both seal rings to be piled one upon the other and receives an energizing force of a back up ring 25. With the transmission of the energizing force of the back up ring 25 to the inclined receiving surface 22, the energizing force thereof is transmitted to both the seal rings 20 being scattered evenly even if the number of the back up ring 25 is one. As a result, both the seal rings 20 uniformly and pressing of the rings on the inner circumferential surface of a cylinder 1 evenly in the circumferential direction thereof thereby achieving higher sealing effect.
