PURPOSE: To prevent the leakage of gas positively by mounting gas sealing plates in metal between a box body of metal and the corner sections of the heat exchanger, utilizing the thermal expansion of the gas sealing plates in metal and pushing the compressive packings of the heat exchanger.
CONSTITUTION: The box body B in heatproof metal is mounted on an outer circumference of the heat exchanger A, and the gas sealing plates 1, 1' in heatproof metal are fixed at intervals in the vicinity of each side surface corner section C. The gas sealing plates 1, 1' are formed by bending holding pieces 2, 2', are the compressive packings 3 having heat-resisting property such as ceramic fiber felt contacting with each side surface corner section C of the heat exchanger A are pushed by the holding pieces 2, 2'. Accordingly, the compressive packings 3 are pushed to the corner sections C by the relative expansion of the gas sealing plates 1, 1', and leakage of gas from the corner sections C is prevented positively.
