Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the conditions such as waste and deterioration of the magnetic fluid of a sealing device, and prevent the burst of the seal by performing the maintenance with a proper timing.
SOLUTION: A sealing device 1 where plural stage parts retaining the magnetic fluid in a circular gap, and the pressure chambers are mounted in plural stages in the axial direction, comprises a ventilation means (a sealing ring 13, a gap G1 and the ventilation passages G2, G3) for connecting the pressure chambers and an outside of a sealing container, and ventilating the minor fluid, and the minor fluid is introduced inside of the sealed container through the ventilation means to change the pressure when the pressure chamber on the sealing side, is bursted.
