PURPOSE: The titled composition curing by UV in a short time and forming a film with excellent flexibility, weatherability, heat resistance, solvent resistance, etc., which comprises a soln. prepared by dissolving chlorosulfonated PE, etc. in a (meth)acrylic monomer, and a polymn. catalyst.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. S-contg. composition selected from a gp. consisting of chlorosulfonated PE and a mixt. of sulfonyl chloride with chlorinated PE and 15wt% or less, based on the composition, polymn. catalyst selected from a gp. consisting of a free radial-forming agent (e.g., N,N-dimethyl-aniline), a reaction accelerator (e.g., an aldehyde-amine condensate), a reaction initiator (e.g., benzophenone) and a reaction promotor (e.g., Co naphthenate), are added to and mixed with 25W2,000pts.wt. (meth)acrylic monomer, to obtain the titled composition. As shown in Fig.1, a flexible film is formed by the application of said composition a to annular groove 3 at inner periphery of top plate 2 of a metal can, followed by UV irradiation, and then the top plate is fastened tight to can hull 1 on the outside, to form a sealed can shown in Fig.2.
