To improve the sealing reliability and the efficiency of sealing work of a cable inserting hole by sealing a cable inserting hole with a pair of sealing member dividing bodies made in one united body which comprises an elastic member as a whole and is made in one united body by polymerizing flanges together.
A cable inserting hole sealing member 10 is constituted by turning two split sealing members 15 into one united body by mutually polymerizing corresponding flanges 14 through the formation of elastic members such as rubber. This cable inserting hole sealing member 10 is attached to a cable 11 by fitting a cable holding hole 22 formed to each split sealing member 15 in response to the diameter of the cable 11 in advance, to the cable 11 by utilizing a slit formed to a bottom plate 13 of one of the split sealing members. Next, by pushing the cable inserting hole sealing member 10 into a cable inserting hole 12 while maintaining a fitting state with the cable 11, an adhesive layer 23 on the outer peripheral surface of the flange 14 can be tightly adhered to the inner surface of the cable inserting hole 12 and the cable inserting hole 12 can be sealed in a watertight manner.
