Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously perform cutting of a notched part and bending of a seamed part by moving a nearly rectangular bending substrate with a handle, along a semi-circular elbow guide for guiding a projected pin.
SOLUTION: A guide pin 47 of a bending substrate 40 is inserted into the notched part 22 of an elbow guide 20 and, with the substrate 40 mounted on the end of the main base 10 by holding the handle 41 so as to make it slide, a projected pin 47 is fitted in the notched part 22. Then, a metal plate is inserted from the sub-base 30 side. With the handle 41 moved in the manner of lifting it, the projected pin 47 is guided to the elbow guide 20, rotating the bending substrate 40. In this case, the lower teeth 45 of the cutter of the substrate 40 and the upper teeth 18 of the cutter of a guide substrate 15, acting as a pair of shears, make a notch at the seam part of the sheet metal, while the seamed part is bent by the tip end of the upper plate 42 of the bending substrate 40. With the handle 41 moved to the sub-base 30 side, the projected pin 47 reaches the clearance 24 of the elbow guide 20, at which point the rotation stops.
