PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag for protecting the passenger of an automobile from side clashing in the seat of the automobile without damaging the appearance of the seat and comfortableness.
SOLUTION: A seamless side expansion type constraint development system 10 for an occupant seated on a seat includes a side expansion type constraint module 26 attached to the frame 18 of the seat and having an expansion type constraint device 24, a pad 20 disposed adjacent to a side development type constraint module 26 and having a development opening 54 and a tearing start device outer cover 44 surrounding the side expansion type constraint module 26 and extended through the development opening 54 for forming, by concentrating the developing force of the expansion type constraint device 24, a desired exit position for passing the developed expansion type constraint device 24 on the seat exterior package 22 of this seat. Thus, seat seamless designing is performed and the full thickness of the pad is used.
