To prevent a cable for driving a leg rest from hanging.

The seat apparatus includes: the leg rest which can be freely brought down in such a state as hanging from the front end of a seat bottom or brought up in such a state as rising forward from the front end of the seat bottom, and which can be advanced or retreated forward/backward in the state of rising forward; a leg rest driving portion for changing the state of the leg rest; a sliding portion for sliding the leg rest forward/backward; and an operating portion for driving the sliding portion. The leg rest driving portion includes a pair of left and right link mechanisms for coupling the seat bottom with the leg rest, and a plurality of reinforcing members laid to the link mechanisms. The sliding portion includes an advancing/retreating mechanism for advancing/retreating the leg rest, and a cable for transmitting the operation of the operating portion to the advancing/retreating mechanism to operate the advancing/retreating mechanism. The cable is supported by at least one of the plurality of reinforcing members.
