Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat back for automobile capable of preventing a defor mation from occurring in a head rest support member for supporting a heat rest.
SOLUTION: This seat back for automobile comprises a head rest support member 7 installed across the upper end parts of a side frame rotatably in longitudinal direction, a pressure receiving member 8 supported on the head rest support member 7 and disposed at a position capable of receiving an impact load caused by a rear-end collision, and a head rest supported on vertically movably on a head rest holder 9 supported on the head rest support member 7. The head rest support member 7 further comprises a bracket 7d formed of an upper face pat 7a and a rear face part 7b in reverse L-shape in cross section and projected from the lower end part of the rear face part 7b and a support part 19 for supporting the head rest holder 9 on the upper face part 7a.
