To provide a seat retractable under a floor with a simple structure in which a less installation space is required, capable of preventing a relock in a retracting operation and a hop-up of a rear portion of a seat cushion at low cost and performing the retracting operation securely and smoothly.
The seat 1 retractable under the floor can be lowered and is retractable under a vehicle body floor 5 by tipping a seat back 3 to overlap onto the seat cushion 2 and rotating a leg 4 forward. The seat 1 includes a strip or stringy coupling member 10 extending between a first end 11 coupled to a front portion of the seat cushion 2 and a second end 12 coupled to a rear portion of the seat cushion 2, and a guiding member 13 placed rearward from a rotational coupling portion 4b at the lower end of the leg 4 of the vehicle body floor 5, for guiding to fold back an intermediate portion of the coupling member. The seat cushion 2 is tensionally supported by the guiding member 13 through the coupling member 10 in the retracting operation.
