Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure safety by calculating a deterioration amount of a secondary battery without increasing a cost or size.SOLUTION: A controller 1 for a secondary battery having a sealed battery case has a cell monitoring unit 8, a storage section 2, and a calculation section 3. The cell monitoring unit 8 monitors the secondary battery's state. The storage section 2 stores the secondary battery's state monitored by the cell monitoring unit 8, as a history. The calculation section 3 acquires, on the basis of the history stored in the storage section 2, a coefficient correlated with a gas generation amount in the battery case; and calculates a deterioration amount of the secondary battery from the acquired coefficient and the history stored in the storage section 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
