Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify the construction of a segment for an elliptical lining so as to manufacture it easily and at a low cost.
CONSTITUTION: Circular arcuate segments 8 each of which has two sorts of curvature constituted of a large radius circular arc part 4 and a small radius circular arc part 7 are respectively arranged on the left upper side and the right lower side of an elliptical segment ring 1, and one end part of a large radius circular arcuate segment 9 is connected to the end part of the large radius circular arc part 4 of the each segment 8. The other end part of the each large radius circular arcuate segment 9 is connected to one end part of a first small radius circular arcuate segment 10, and the other end part of the each first small radius circular arcuate segment 10 and the end part of the small radius circular arc part 7 in the each circular segment 8 having two sorts of curvature are connected together by interposing second small circular arcuate segments 11 and 12.
