Abstract:
To provide a base isolation device having attenuation force by utilizing a magnet.SOLUTION: In place of a conventional base isolation device, a lower foundation structure and an upper foundation structure are supported relatively movable in a horizontal direction to keep a relative distance in a vertical direction with a constant clearance, a magnet holding member of a horizontal attenuation force application mechanism supports a plurality of permanent magnets, a permanent magnet end surface and a conductive member end surface are opposed to each other at a prescribed interval, and magnetic flux generated on the plurality of permanent magnets passes through the conductive member so that eddy current generates on the conductive member when the pair of upper and lower foundation structures are relatively displaced in a horizontal direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
