Abstract:

To provide a seismic isolation system capable of favorably performing active control of at least either restorative force or damping force.SOLUTION: In a seismic isolation system 1, a passive element 9 generates force F1 to be at least either restorative force or damping force of relative displacement between a seismic isolation object 5 and a supporting structure 3 in a D1 direction. The force F1 acts on the seismic isolation object 5 and the supporting structure 3 in a force direction Df. Drive force generated with a drive section 11 changes an inclination angle of the force direction Df with respect to the D1 direction by displacing an action position P2, on the seismic isolation object 5, to which the passive element 9 applies the force F1 with respect to the seismic isolation object 5.
