To provide a seismic tremor sensing device which is configured simply and can precisely sense a seismic tremor, and to provide an earthquake emergency isolation valve to which the seismic tremor sensing device is applied.
A ball seat 12 is disposed inside a casing 9 through a plurality of coil springs 10, so as to be in a horizontally suspended state, and a tremor sensing ball 13 is disposed at the ball seat 12. When an earthquake occurs, the ball seat 12 is vibrated, and the tremor sensing ball 13 falls therefrom and is received by a ball receiving plate 15, and then a turning arm 16 pivots though 1/8 turns due to the weight of the tremor sensing ball 13, and one end of a wire 22 is released. Accordingly, an opening/closing lever 6 losing a lifting power of the wire 22 is pressed downward by the effect of a weight 7, thereby enabling an opening/closing valve 4 to close piping 2.
