PURPOSE: To provide a selecting device constitution of which is simplified, by a method wherein, when the surface and the back of a washer provided at the periphery of either of the surface and the back having a die wear produced due to blanking molding are selected, when a peripheral edge of the surface having no die wear is pressed obliquely from above, floating of a washer is utilized.

CONSTITUTION: When a washer W is fed onto a support plate 6 of a selecting stage 2c of a conveyance passage 2, a moving plate 12 is moved obliquely downward by means of a cylinder 10, and a press member 7 is brought into contact with the front side part of the periphery of the washer W from above. In this case, when the washer W is up, since the working line of a press force F exerted on the washer W passes a position inner than the periphery of the back making contact with the support plate 6, the washer W is prevented from floating, and is moved forward along with the fed of the subsequent washer W. Meanwhile, when the washer W is down, since a moment in a direction in which a die wear part Wa is pressed downward toward the support plate 6 side is exerted, the washer W is floated and adsorbed to an adsorbing member 8, and is separated therefrom in the middle of raising by means of a baffle plate 14.
