PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gold and palladium separation method which can separate gold and palladium, from a gold ion-palladium ion solution comprising a plurality of metal ions, with high selectivity in a short time.SOLUTION: A selective separation method for gold and palladium includes a first step in which a noble metal desorbent comprising gold ions and palladium ions is reduced under an acidic condition to deposit and separate gold, and a second step in which the solution obtained in the first step is neutralized and reduced, to deposit and separate palladium.SELECTED DRAWING: None
