Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility of an erroneous action and allow a driver to surely switch the speed change mode at a nearby position by providing a rotatable rotary dial having a click mechanism and electric contact points near the grip position of a handle.
SOLUTION: A selector switch 1 is provided at a position adjacent to the right grip 9 of the handle 8 of a bicycle, and a rotary dial 2 is rotatably provided on the selector switch 1. The rotary dial 2 is provided with a click mechanism generating click force at multiple rotational positions, the rotary dial 2 is pulled into a switching position for a switching action by the click mechanism. The electrical connection to electric contact points is switched on or off by this switching action. The possibility of an erroneous action can be reduced even in case of erroneous contact.
