Abstract:
To provide a self-lubricating composite material exhibiting the self-lubricating property within a temperature range from a room temperature to 800°C and having low friction, and also having less problems in points of its cost and environmental load, and a method for producing the same.
This self-lubricating composition is obtained by mixing Al2O3 powder with BaSO4 powder by (50:50) mass ratio, and compressing/sintering under a condition of at ≥700°C and ≤1,150°C temperature and under ≥20 MPa and ≤70 MPa compressing force.
