To provide a self-propelled conveyance system capable of being restarted even after a long-term suspension with a manipulation performed at a ground control board.
The self-propelled conveyance system includes a bidirectional DC-to-DC converter 8 that is connected between a capacitor 7 and a drive control unit 13, a secondary battery charger 9 having an output terminal thereof connected to an output terminal of the converter 8 via a first switch SW1 between the capacitor 7 and the drive control unit 13, a control circuit 12 that if the output voltage of the capacitor 7 is equal to or larger than a first predetermined voltage value, turns off the first switch SW1, and that if the output voltage falls below the first predetermined voltage value, turns on the first switch SW1, a second switch SW2 interposed between the secondary battery charger 9 and a secondary battery 10, a wireless I/O 21A that is interposed between the second switch SW2 and the secondary battery 10, operates with power from the secondary battery 10, and transfers a signal to or from a ground control board, and an electromagnetic coil 20 that is connected to the wireless I/O 21A and turns on or off the second switch SW2.
