PURPOSE: To prevent selvage yarn from damage or breakage by inserting selvage yarn loops in a long projected state from the end of a fabric and by weaving the selvage yarn loops projected into the front end loops of the next weft.
CONSTITUTION: Selvage yarns X, Y are inserted in a folded manner into the front end loops of wefts x, y foldedly inserted into the row or column of a warp z group. The selvage yarns, when tightly fixed at the pre-weaving positions for a three-dimensional fabric due to the pullback of the wefts x, y, are brought to such a state that their front end loops are projected from the end of the fabric longer than the weft pitch in the z direction of said fabric, and the selvage yarn loops projected are inserted into the next weft loops in selvage yarn inserting in the next process, being woven into the weft loops due to the pullback of the wefts x, y.
