Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing system that ensures high speed and low cost, that ensures expandability of a memory capacity, and that is user-friendly.SOLUTION: An information processing system that includes: an information processing apparatus; a volatile memory; and a nonvolatile memory is constituted. The information processing apparatus, the volatile memory, and the nonvolatile memory are connected in series and the number of connection signals is decreased, thereby achieving acceleration while expandability of a memory capacity is maintained. In a case of transferring data in the nonvolatile memory to the volatile memory, error-correction is performed to improve reliability. The information processing system constituted by these plural chips is configured as an information processing system module in which the respective chips are arranged mutually stacked and wired by ball grid array or inter-chip bonding.
