Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve flexibility and transmission efficiency, when achieving super-high-resolution of a video image, by expanding operation of logo data.SOLUTION: In a transmission system, logo data is modularized by identification and a type of a logo. Modularized logo data is distributed to a plurality of sections in common data table information. Logo data distribution information representing correlation, on the logo data, between the type thereof and the sections to which the logo data is distributed is defined and inserted into a logo data distribution descriptor in the common data table information. Logo transmission description information is generated from logo management information including the identification and the type of the logo of the logo data and inserted into a logo transmission descriptor in service description table information. The common data table information and the service description table information are multiplexed with a broadcast signal. Then, the multiplexed broadcast signal is transmitted.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16
