Abstract:

To enable the state of a detection object or objects to be determined by using power fluctuations of delayed waves.

A sensing system comprises delay time holding means that holds the delay time of one or more detection objects from the transmission of radio wave transmission until the reception of the radio wave reflected by the one or more detection objects; power delay data acquiring means that acquires power delay data indicating the received power values in a time series of delayed waves received since the time of radio wave transmission by consecutively sampling the received power values of arriving waves at short enough intervals; and state determining means that references the received power values and determines the state of each detection object on the basis of the received power value at the time of arrival equivalent to the delay time of each detection object.
