To exactly measure sensitivity of an individual for an ultrasonic wave signal by converting a signal generated in an ultrasonic wave frequency range into a human sense signal, changing frequency and sensitivity of the human sense signal and recording individual perception of the signal after the changing.
In this measuring device, amplitude and frequency of a signal generator 12 are controlled by a computer control device 10, and a signal generating sensory excitation of an audible range to be transmitted to a proper converting device is generated from the signal generator 12. The signal from this signal generator 12 is a one selected so that an individual may perceive to the maximum, the signal from the signal generator 12 is delivered to an ultrasonic wave modulator, that is, a pure sound carrier device 14 and the signal is transposed to an ultrasonic wave frequency range exceeding 20 thousand Hz up to about 100 thousand Hz at this carrier device 14. Next, this signal is amplified by an amplifier 16, the signal is delivered to an impressing device 18 for impressing on a human body 20, the perception of the signal after the change impressed on the human body 20 is recorded and sensitivity of an individual for the ultrasonic wave signal is measured.
