Title:
SENSOR HEAD FOR FIRE EXTINGUISHING EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002282380
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a sensor head for a fire extinguishing equipment which does not need a closed type value (e.g. deluge valve) and its sensing part (e.g. sensor pipe), thus enabling significant cost reduction.

The sensor head consists of a self-thermosensitive operation closed type valve part 1 and an open head 7 which has a head inlet 7a that is led to an outlet 2b of the closed type valve part 1. The closed type valve part 1 is constituted of a valve body 3, which is located at the outlet 2b side of a valve case 2 and closed against the pressure to open a valve hole 4, a constraint component 5 which controls the open side movement of the valve body 3, and a thermosensitive operation component 6, which holds and constrains an end 5a of the constraint component 5 protruded outward from the valve case 2. When the thermosensitive operation component 6 is operated by the heat of a fire and restriction by the constraint component 5 is lost, the valve body 3 is pushed up by the pressure applied to itself, to open the valve hole 4.
