PURPOSE: To simplify installing work by a method wherein a communicating pipeline, connecting an indoor machine to an outdoor machine, is separated into an indoor machine side communicating pipeline, connected to the indoor machine, and an outdoor machine side communicating pipeline, connected to the outdoor machine, while the outdoor machine is provided with a receiving space, capable of receiving the outdoor machine side communicating pipeline.
CONSTITUTION: An outdoor machine 1 is connected to an indoor machine 2 through a communicating pipeline 3, consisting of a liquid pipe 11 and a gas pipe 12, and a drain pipe 4, however in this case, the communicating pipeline 3 is separated into an indoor machine side communicating pipeline 3a and an outdoor machine side communicating pipeline 3b while the drain pipeline 4 is separated into an indoor machine side drain pipeline 4a and an outdoor machine side drain pipeline 4b. On the other hand, a receiving space, capable of receiving an outdoor machine side heat insulating pipe 6b, is provided in a casing 18 below the ceiling plate 8 of the outdoor machine 1. The receiving space is defined from a machine room, a ventilating chamber and the like by a shelf plate in the casing 18. The drain pipeline 4, becoming unnecessary in the point of length thereof, is received in the receiving space whereby installing work is improved.
