Abstract:
To readily and efficiently separate and purify aspartame(APM) and N-[N(3,3-dimethylbutyl)-L-Cl-aspartyl]-L-phenylalanine methyl ester in high purity.
This method for separating and purifying APM and (3,3- dimethylbutyl)APM comprises passing an aqueous solution containing aspartame and N-[N-(3,3-dimethylbutyl)-L-α-aspartyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester through a column in which nonpolar high porous polymer-based resin is packed and separating APM from N-(3,3-dimethylbutyl)-APM.
