Abstract:

PURPOSE: To separate an isomer having a specific substitution position in high purity, industrially and advantageously in adsorbing and separating specific trihalogenobenzene isomers having different substitution forms, by using TPZ-3 type zeolite as an adsorbent.

CONSTITUTION: In separating an isomer mixture containing two or more isomers selected from 1,2,3-, 1,2,4- and 1,2,5-substituted isomers among a compound shown by formula I (X is Cl or Br) useful as an intermediate for agricultural chemicals, dye and industrial chemicals by using a zeolite adsorbent, TPZ-3 type zeolite shown by formula II (x≥0; one shown in the form of oxide in an anhydrous state; Na is readily replaceable with cation, especially proton) is used as an adsorbent and each isomer, especially 1,2,4-substituted isomer is selectively separated from the above-mentioned isomers by using the catalyst usable for a long period of time.
