Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide compounds that increase the serum half-lives of various therapeutics, compounds having increased serum half-lives, and methods for increasing the serum half-lives of therapeutics.SOLUTION: The invention provides a polypeptide comprising a fibronectin type III tenth (10Fn3) domain, where the 10Fn3 domain binds to domain 1 or 2 of human serum albumin with KD of 1 μM or less, and where the serum half-life of the polypeptide in the presence of albumin is at least 5 times greater than the serum half-life of the polypeptide in the absence of serum albumin. The invention also provides a fusion polypeptide comprising serum albumin-binding 10Fn3, and uses thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: None
