Abstract:
PURPOSE:To stop the offer of service to an illegal viewer to apply the punishment and to charge completely to a reliable subscriber by setting the limit capable of viewing a charged program by a polling every subscriber. CONSTITUTION:As subscriber's file 19 in which the terminal address of the subscriber and viewing control information of the subscriber are held is connected to a CPU 7. In such viewing information, the record of the payment of the subscriber or the presence of the previous offense of viewing stealingly are contained and goes to a decision reference for limiting the service of the charged program for the subscriber bad in the payment or the subscriber having the previous record in viewing stealthy. Based on such decision reference, a credit limit is set every subscriber and stored in the subscriber's file 19. The CPU 7 carries out the polling every subscriber to the information of this subscriber's file in a command type through a CATV line. The contents of the subscriber's file 19 can be added, changed, deleted by an on-line terminal 20 or a periodical batch processing in a center side and it is reflected on the terminal 2 and an up communication module 3 of the respective subscribers by the polling as mentioned above.
