To provide a sewing machine which has improved sewing operability as well as the product accuracy, by easily and accurately positioning the sewing point.

A sewing table 10 is provided with a fixed table 11 placed relative to a head part 4 of the sewing machine 1, a pair of movable tables 12 and 13 which are respectively placed on both sides of the fixed table 11 and made movable in the direction perpendicular to the sewing direction, having guide plates 21 and 22 extending along the sewing direction, a drive means 30 which moves the movable tables 12 and 13 respectively to the reverse directions and in synchronization with each other. This structure makes it more accurate and quicker to position a sewing needle 6 relative to the clothing product W without being interfered with operator's subjective factors, which results in the improvement in product accuracy of the clothing product W and in sewing operability.
