Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mechanically execute the detection of a difference between shapes due to the change of design and the retrieval of a product having a similar shape by mutually comparing the electronic shape data of plural products.
SOLUTION: The shape analysis system is provided with an analytical tree node generation part 10 for generating shape analytical tree nodes corresponding to patches constituting a three-dimensional shape model, a vicinity graph generation part 20 for generating a vicinity graph by generating an edge between nodes having geometrically adjacent relation with each other out of nodes generated by the generation part 10 and an analytical tree generation part 30 for merging nodes forming an edge out of nodes on the vicinity graph generated by the generation part 20 on the basis of a condition for preferentially merging nodes having continuity in the shapes of the patches and generating a shape analytical tree constituted of forming a new node obtained by merging as a master node and unmerged nodes as slave nodes.
