PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measurement device and a measurement method capable of easily, quickly and highly accurately measuring a shape and dimensions of an interior construction part including a fitting installation opening part.SOLUTION: Provided is a shape and dimension measurement device for preparing an installation object that matches with a shape and dimensions of an interior construction part by measuring the shape and each dimension of the interior construction part, which includes: laser measurement means having a measurement base point and a laser irradiation part for emitting a laser beam, and capable of measuring a distance from the measurement base point to an irradiating point with the laser beam; a frame for supporting the laser measurement means freely rotatable around an axial line while fixing the measurement base point on the axial line; and rotary operation means for rotating the laser measurement means around the axial line. The rotary operation means is used to rotate the laser measurement means to sequentially move the irradiating point to plural points in the interior construction part, and by calculating distances from the measurement base point to the plural irradiating points, the shape and dimensions can be acquired.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
